Absolut 100 is a 50% ABV (100 proof) vodka produced in Åhus, southern Sweden, by Absolut, part of Pernod Ricard. It is a higher-strength version of classic Absolut and is easily distinguished from the brand's other products by its black bottle.
How is Absolut 100 made?
Like all Absolut vodkas, Absolut 100 is made from Swedish winter wheat and water from deep local wells in Åhus, using continuous distillation. The producer presents this version as a higher-strength style, attributed to the brand's founding figure Lars Olsson Smith; the increased alcohol content makes the aromas feel more intense.
What does Absolut 100 taste like?
According to the producer's description, Absolut 100 has a smooth, rich mouthfeel. Pronounced spice notes stand out on the palate, rounded off with a clean, velvety and refreshing character.
How is it served?
The producer recommends Absolut 100 neat, on ice, or as a base for vodka cocktails. A long drink made with tonic and a wedge of lime, or a vodka-based Negroni with Campari, sweet vermouth and lemon peel, brings out the bold character of its higher strength.
What does Absolut 100 pair with?
Its clean, spiced structure, served chilled, pairs well with smoked fish and seafood, meze platters featuring pickles and cured meats, and mature cheeses.

- Keep wine bottles on their side and spirits upright.
- Serve white/rosé and sparkling wine at 6–12°C, and reds at 16–18°C.
- Keep opened bottles closed; drink wine within a few days of opening.
