Absolut Lime

Absolut Lime is a 40% ABV lime-flavoured vodka produced and bottled in the village of Åhus in southern Sweden. Part of Pernod Ricard-owned Absolut's flavoured range, it is based on the same grain alcohol from Swedish winter wheat as classic Absolut vodka. The flavour is naturally sourced; the producer describes this vodka as a sharp, lively and easily mixable citrus character.

What does Absolut Lime taste like?

A sharp, clean peel aroma reminiscent of freshly squeezed lime stands out on the nose. On the palate the structure is dry, but the lime note leaves a juicy, lightly sweetish impression. Dry lime peel and a light peppery warmth are felt on the finish. The brand's ambassador likens the taste to a lemon tart dessert known for its creamy texture.

How should it be served?

Well chilled, it can be served over ice, or as a long drink with soda and a slice of lime. The producer also recommends it for Moscow Mule-style ginger cocktails, spritzer, mojito, Martini and Vodkarita, the vodka interpretation of Margarita. A mojito made with fresh mint and lime juice brings out the citrus character distinctly.

What does Absolut Lime pair well with?

Its tart, refreshing profile forms a natural match with lemon-seasoned dishes. Grilled fish, prawns and calamari, along with citrus-dressed green salads, pair well alongside it, particularly as a light long drink made with soda.
