Alcohol Delivery in Lefke & Gemikonağı

Lefke (Lefka) is a town at the western tip of North Cyprus, where valleys coming down from the Troodos foothills open onto Güzelyurt (Morphou) Bay, known for its date palms and mining past. Below the town, by the sea, is Gemikonağı (Karavostasi), with Yeşilırmak further west near the border crossing. On the coast are the ruins of ancient Soli and, up on the hill, Vouni Palace. Lefke is about 62 km from Nicosia and about 68 km from Kyrenia.

European University of Lefke and student life

A large share of the area's population are students at European University of Lefke (LAU). Student blocks along the road from Gemikonağı to the campus are full during term. Orders from here are mostly shared: a building or group of friends puts everything on one list for beer, vodka and snacks, which is also the right approach for a distant area. Halls' alcohol rules are set by hall management, so have your delivery sent to an address outside the halls. We check age (18+) on every delivery and ask for ID.

Village houses and quiet holidays

Small guesthouses on the Gemikonağı shore and houses in Yeşilırmak host a quieter crowd. For a fish and meze supper, raki, white wine and soda are the most requested items from these addresses.

Why is ordering early essential?

Jastin Off Licence's branches are on the east of the island. From the Bafra Tourism Zone to Lefke is about 125 km via Nicosia and Güzelyurt, one of the longest routes we serve. So rather than ordering on the spot in this area:

1. Send your list to WhatsApp (+90 539 138 15 62) at least a day ahead.
2. We confirm stock and quantities together; the dispatching branch and its opening hours are also settled at this stage.
3. The order is finalised by WhatsApp or phone; the delivery day, time window and charge are fixed at this step according to the route and workload, and only then does the driver set off.
4. We take care to keep them cold, but given the long drive we recommend putting the beer and white wine in the fridge on arrival.

Yeşilırmak and the border area

Yeşilırmak is near a crossing point to the south of Cyprus. The old mining pier on the Gemikonağı shore and the coves around it are favourite spots for watching the sunset on summer evenings. People coming here for a picnic tend to collect cold drinks beforehand and bring them in their own cool bags.
