Absolut Citron is a 40% ABV lemon-flavoured vodka made in Sweden by The Absolut Company, part of the Pernod Ricard group. It is based on Absolut's vodka distilled from winter wheat and is flavoured with lemon and a light lime aroma. The producer states the product is made only with natural ingredients and has no added sugar.
What does Absolut Citron taste like?
It is a colourless, dry vodka. Lemon notes are pronounced, but as it contains no sugar it carries a clean, refreshing citrus character rather than a sweet one. The vodka's soft, pure structure lets the lemon aroma come forward.
How should it be served?
Absolut Citron is one of the well-known bases of the Cosmopolitan cocktail, frequently used in this classic made with cranberry juice, orange liqueur and lime juice. Simple long drinks with soda and a slice of lemon are also common; lengthened with tonic or lemonade, its citrus aroma stays distinct.
Which dishes does it pair with?
Its lemony, dry character pairs well with fish and seafood, sushi and light dishes such as lemon-dressed salads. Salty fish meze also matches well with this vodka.

- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
- Keep wine bottles on their side and spirits upright.
- Serve white/rosé and sparkling wine at 6–12°C, and reds at 16–18°C.
- Keep opened bottles closed; drink wine within a few days of opening.
