Żubrówka Biała is a 37.5% ABV plain vodka produced in Poland from alcohol obtained from selected grains and crystal-clear water. It is the plain member of the same brand as the famous bison-grass Żubrówka, though this bottle does not contain bison grass. The brand is now part of the Polish Maspex group's portfolio, and the producer states that Biała is the number one plain vodka in Poland. Its name means "white" and is inspired by the winter landscape of the Białowieża Forest.
What does Żubrówka Biała taste like?
The producer describes Biała as a pure, delicate, versatile vodka. According to Caskers' tasting note, the nose is smooth, carrying light traces of wheat. On the palate a soft sweetness develops; the finish is clean and fresh. Master of Malt also notes the vodka's elegant, creamy mouthfeel.
How is it served?
As in Polish tradition, it can be drunk neat, well chilled, in small glasses. Its creamy texture and delicate structure also make it a good base for long drinks made with apple juice, tonic or soda, and for classic cocktails.
What food does it pair with?
Herring, smoked fish, pickles and cold cuts are the classic accompaniments of the Polish table. Its delicate, clean structure also pairs well with light seafood dishes and fresh-cheese meze.
