Suvla Kınalı Yapıncak is a single-varietal dry white wine made by Suvla winery in Eceabat, Çanakkale, from Kınalı Yapıncak, a local white grape native to Thrace. Known for the red-flecked marks on its berries, this grape grows in the traditional vineyards of the Tekirdağ region.
The wine is aged on its lees to build body, then partly fermented in oak barrels. This method preserves the local grape's fresh character while giving the wine a rounder texture. Suvla is a producer that places importance on vinifying the local grape varieties of the Northern Aegean and Eceabat terroir separately; Kınalı Yapıncak is one of the core varieties in this approach.
Notes of linden blossom, nectarine and lemon stand out on the nose. On the palate it is a soft, balanced white; the lees contact and partial barrel fermentation add a light fullness to the texture. A citrus-driven freshness lingers on the finish.
It is suitable to serve at 10–12°C. It pairs well with olive-oil-based Aegean meze, grilled fish and seafood, halloumi and fresh cheeses. Herb-topped salads and chicken dishes are also good accompaniments for this local white.
