Kavaklıdere Çankaya

Kavaklıdere Çankaya is a white wine from the classics range of Kavaklıdere, one of Turkey's well-established wine producers, based on Anatolia's native white grapes Emir and Narince.

Who is Kavaklıdere?

Kavaklıdere Şarapları was founded in 1929 in Ankara's Kavaklıdere neighbourhood, from which it takes its name. Today, with vineyards across different regions of Anatolia, it is among Turkey's best-known wine producers. Alongside Çankaya, the producer's classics range also includes Lâl and Yakut.

What character do the Emir and Narince grapes give?

Emir is a grape synonymous with Cappadocia's volcanic soils, known for its refreshing, mineral-driven wines. Narince, meanwhile, is the traditional white grape of the Tokat region and lends the wine fruit and fullness. The combination of these two native varieties gives Çankaya a familiar, easy-drinking character.

How is it served?

As is generally accepted for white wines, serving it well chilled is recommended. Keeping it closed in the fridge after opening preserves its freshness.

Which foods does it pair with?
