Pasqua Merlot is a 12% ABV red wine made by Verona-based Pasqua from grapes selected in its Veneto and Friuli vineyards, originating from Trevenezie IGT. It is made entirely from Merlot and is a soft, easy-drinking Italian red designed for everyday tables.
What does Pasqua Merlot taste like?
It is deep red in colour. Redcurrant notes on the nose are joined by light herbal touches. The palate is markedly soft and rounded; velvety tannins give the wine length and persistence. The wine is made using the classic red-winemaking method with skin maceration; after malolactic fermentation it is kept in stainless steel tanks until bottling, so fruit character leads rather than oak. Harvest takes place in mid-September.
How should it be served?
Depending on the series, the producer recommends serving at 14–16°C. As a young, fruity wine, it is ready to drink as soon as the bottle is opened and does not need decanting.
What food does it pair with?
It is a versatile wine: it pairs well with flavourful sauced pasta, stews and casseroles, and dishes with veal, rabbit and pork. Grilled red meats and fresh cheeses are also suitable accompaniments.

- Keep wine bottles on their side and spirits upright.
