Pasqua Desire Lush & Zin is a 13.5% ABV Primitivo Puglia IGT red wine made entirely from Primitivo grapes in Puglia, southern Italy. It is produced by Pasqua; the "Zin" in its name refers to the same grape as Primitivo, known in California as Zinfandel.
What does Desire Lush & Zin Primitivo taste like?
It is deep red in colour. The nose is warm and intense: plum and red fruit are joined by notes of spice, vanilla, coffee and cocoa. The palate is warm, rounded and full-bodied; the tannins are soft and velvety. A touch of residual sugar makes the fruit feel riper. Hand-picked and carried in 20-kilogram crates, the grapes undergo a week of cold maceration before fermentation; the wine is then aged for six months in oak barrels before bottling.
How should it be served?
The producer recommends serving at around 18°C. Given its full body, a large glass and opening the bottle a little before serving are advised.
What food does it pair with?
It is ideal with grilled or roasted red meats and matured cheeses. Barbecue tables, steak and platters of hard cheese pair well with this intense Primitivo.

- Keep wine bottles on their side and spirits upright.
- Serve white/rosé and sparkling wine at 6–12°C, and reds at 16–18°C.
- Keep opened bottles closed; drink wine within a few days of opening.
