Pasqua Collezione Bardolino

Pasqua Bardolino is a 12% ABV red wine from the series in which Verona-based family company Pasqua brings together Italy's classic wines, originating from Bardolino DOC. It is made from Corvina Veronese (60%), Rondinella (20%) and Molinara (20%) grapes grown in vineyards on the south-eastern shore of Lake Garda.

What does Pasqua Bardolino taste like?

It is bright red in colour with fruit to the fore. Redcurrant and cherry notes are felt on the nose. The palate is soft and appealing; despite good structure it remains easy-drinking. The lake's moderating climate and morainic soils give the grapes a pronounced fruitiness. The wine is fermented at controlled temperature after a short skin maceration and rests for several months in steel tanks before bottling.

How should it be served?

The producer recommends serving at around 14°C; served lightly cool, its fruit feels livelier. It is a red made for young drinking.

What food does it pair with?

It pairs well with light Italian pasta dishes, vegetable-forward plates such as aubergine parmigiana, light meat dishes and fresh cheeses. It is also an accompaniment that does not overpower chicken and white meat dishes.
