Jack Daniel's Tennessee Fire is a 35% ABV cinnamon-flavoured whiskey liqueur, made by blending Jack Daniel's Old No. 7 Tennessee whiskey with cinnamon liqueur. It is produced by the Jack Daniel Distillery in Lynchburg, Tennessee, part of the Brown-Forman group.
What kind of drink is Tennessee Fire?
The producer states that classic Old No. 7 is combined with the real warmth of cinnamon, and that the taste starts soft before coming alive with cinnamon. The whiskey base is filtered through sugar maple charcoal using Jack Daniel's well-known method. It is sold as a whiskey liqueur in Europe, and is a member of the flavoured Jack Daniel's family alongside Tennessee Honey and Tennessee Apple, with a lower ABV and sweeter taste than classic Jack Daniel's.
What does Tennessee Fire taste like?
Warm cinnamon leads on the nose. The palate is soft and sweet, with vanilla sweetness balanced by cinnamon spice. The finish carries the lively, warming effect of cinnamon.
How should it be served?
It is served lightly chilled, neat, over ice or in cocktails. The producer recommends the Cinnamon Smashed Apple cocktail, built with apple flavour; it can also be lengthened with apple juice or ginger ale.
What food does it pair with?
Its cinnamon-spiced, sweet character pairs well with fruit-based desserts such as apple pie, chocolate desserts and roasted nuts. It can also be served after a meal in a small glass, alongside coffee.
