Jim Beam Red Stag Black Cherry is a 32.5% ABV cherry bourbon liqueur, made by combining black cherry liqueur with Kentucky Straight Bourbon whiskey. It is produced by James B. Beam Distilling Co., part of the Suntory Global Spirits group.

What kind of drink is Red Stag?

The producer presents Red Stag as one of the pioneers of the flavoured bourbon category, known for balancing soft black cherry aromas with traditional bourbon oak. It is sold in Europe as a 32.5% ABV liqueur.

What does it taste like?

Black cherry, vanilla and light oak are felt on the nose. On the palate, vanilla, oak, caramel and black cherry are balanced. Master of Malt also notes honey, tart cherry, brown sugar, cinnamon and a light strawberry.

How should it be served, and what does it pair with?

It is served neat, on the rocks, or extended with cola, iced tea or lemonade. It pairs well with chocolate and red-berry desserts. It can also be presented chilled in small glasses. Mixes recommended by the producer, such as Black Cherry & Cola, Red Stag Margarita and a lemonade-based Half & Half, bring out the drink's cherry aroma in different ways. Its cherry and caramel notes are particularly well balanced by the light bitterness of dark chocolate.

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
Keep wine bottles on their side and spirits upright.
Serve white/rosé and sparkling wine at 6–12°C, and reds at 16–18°C.
Keep opened bottles closed; drink wine within a few days of opening.
