Jack Daniel's Tennessee Blackberry

Jack Daniel's Tennessee Blackberry is a 35% ABV blackberry whiskey liqueur, made by adding Jack Daniel's Tennessee whiskey to blackberry liqueur. It is one of the later additions to the flavoured range of Jack Daniel's, part of the Brown-Forman group.

What kind of drink is Tennessee Blackberry?

The producer describes it as a soft, sweet drink that combines real blackberry flavour with the familiar character of Old No. 7. It is sold only in selected countries and is labelled as a liqueur in Europe.

What does it taste like?

On the nose, an intense fruitiness reminiscent of blackberry pie is enlivened by a touch of Old No. 7. On the palate, lively blackberry is softened by creamy vanilla, toasted oak and light honey notes. The finish is completed with layers of blackberry, roasted nuts and the familiar whiskey character.

How should it be served, and what does it pair with?

It is served on the rocks or extended with drinks such as lemonade or lemon soda; it is used in cocktails such as the Jack Blackberry Smash. It pairs well with red-berry and chocolate desserts. It can also be presented chilled in small glasses. The producer also recommends a simple long drink made with lemon soda; garnishing with fresh blackberries and a mint leaf enhances the fruit aroma. When the blackberry sweetness is balanced by the lemon's tartness, the result is a more refreshing drink.
