Jack Daniel's Tennessee Honey is a 35% ABV honey whiskey liqueur, made by blending Jack Daniel's Tennessee whiskey with the producer's own honey liqueur. It is one of the best-known flavoured products from Jack Daniel's, part of the Brown-Forman group.
How is Tennessee Honey made?
According to the producer, real honey is blended with Old No. 7 whiskey to achieve a naturally sweet, soft flavour. It is labelled as a whiskey liqueur in Europe and is lower in alcohol and noticeably sweeter than classic Jack Daniel's.
What does it taste like?
Rich vanilla and honey stand out on the nose; Master of Malt also notes caramel, charred oak and a light orange blossom. The palate is syrupy and creamy; honey, caramel, vanilla, toasted oak and a light apricot are felt. The finish is soft, round and rich.
How should it be served, and what does it pair with?
It is served cold, on the rocks, or extended with lemonade or ginger ale. It pairs well with caramel and chocolate desserts, fruit desserts and nuts. It can also be presented chilled in small glasses. When the honey sweetness is balanced by the lemon's tartness, the result is a more refreshing drink.
