Cielo e Terra Prosecco DOC Brut is a Prosecco sparkling wine at 11% ABV from the Blu Collection range of Italian wine house Cielo e Terra. It's made using the Charmat method, where the second fermentation takes place in pressurised tanks, and is prepared to be drunk young.
What does Cielo Prosecco DOC Brut taste like?
It has a bright, pale yellow colour and persistent, silky bubbles. On the nose, aromas reminiscent of lemon zest, acacia blossom and Golden apple stand out. On the palate it offers a very fresh, almost crisp structure; it leaves traces of fresh fruit and citrus. Its Brut style makes it dry and refreshing.
How is it served?
The producer recommends serving it at 6-7°C and drinking the bottle young, within 1-2 years. It's ideal as an aperitif or a light start to the evening.
Which foods does it pair with?
The producer pairs this Prosecco with many light dishes: vegetable couscous, falafel, vegetable hummus, grilled tofu, fish and chips, prawn and vegetable tempura and salmon tataki are among them. It's a good accompaniment to seafood and light meze.
