Cielo Pinot Grigio is a white wine at 12% ABV made from Pinot Grigio grapes in the Delle Venezie DOC classification, part of Cielo e Terra's Blu collection. Coming from the wide Venezie area of northeast Italy, this wine is part of the producer's best-selling range worldwide.
What is the Cielo Blu collection?
The Blu range is known for its distinctive bottle, embossed with a wave motif. This design symbolises Cielo e Terra's support for projects to protect water resources. The producer describes this Pinot Grigio as a wine suited to all four seasons, comfortably chosen as an aperitif and throughout a meal.
What does Cielo Pinot Grigio taste like?
It shows a pale yellow colour with green glints in the glass. On the nose, fruity and exotic aromas such as pineapple, lemon juice and medlar are wrapped in the herbal and floral tones of pearl blossom, hawthorn blossom and lemongrass. On the palate, a fruity, light and lively structure is felt, along with a pleasant mineral trace. Each sip leaves citrus, refreshing herbal and tropical flavours in the mouth.
How is it served?
The producer recommends serving it at 8-10°C and drinking it within one to three years.
Which foods does it pair with?
Seafood risotto and pasta, grilled fish with citrus, vegetarian dishes and charcuterie-based meze platters pair well with this wine's refreshing structure.
