Whitley Neill Pineapple Gin

Whitley Neill Pineapple Gin is a pineapple-flavoured gin from British brand Whitley Neill's fruity gin range. The brand belongs to the Halewood group; it was developed drawing on founder Johnny Neill's travels through the Americas, particularly inspired by Costa Rican pineapples. It is bottled at 43% ABV.

Which botanicals are in it?

According to the producer's published recipe, juniper, coriander seed, Chinese cinnamon (cassia), orris root, angelica root, sweet orange, pineapple, lemon peel and liquorice root are used. This keeps a classic gin's juniper backbone while letting the tropical fruit come through distinctly.

What does Whitley Neill Pineapple Gin taste like?

Freshly cut pineapple, lemon and a light earthy botanical quality are felt on the nose. On the palate, a taste that opens with juniper and black pepper gives way to juicy pineapple and soft citrus. The finish is completed by tropical fruit and citrus alongside a light spice; the initial sweetness stays balanced.

How should it be served?

The most common serve is mixing it with tonic in a glass full of ice and garnishing with a pineapple or lemon slice. A lighter long drink can be made with ginger ale or soda. Its tropical, fruity character also offers a suitable base for summer cocktails and punch recipes.

What does Whitley Neill Pineapple Gin pair well with?

Its fresh, pineapple- and citrus-forward character suits a glass made with tonic alongside light dishes. It pairs well with grilled fish and seafood, and with green salads dressed with a citrus sauce.
