Whitley Neill Rhubarb & Ginger Gin

Whitley Neill Rhubarb & Ginger Gin is a 43% ABV rhubarb and ginger gin made in England under the Whitley Neill brand, part of the Halewood Artisanal Spirits group. The recipe was inspired by Johnny Neill's memories of rhubarb grown in the garden of the Whitley family, who lived near Daresbury in the English countryside in the post-war years. It won a silver medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2022.

What does Whitley Neill Rhubarb & Ginger taste like?

Rhubarb essence adds a tart, crisp edge to the soft gin base. Ginger then warms the palate, providing a full-bodied finish. This balance between tart fruit and warm spice keeps the gin both fresh and characterful. The classic juniper-forward structure is retained in the background.

How should it be served?

It is commonly lengthened with tonic or ginger ale in a glass full of ice; a thin slice of ginger or orange peel is a good garnish. Its ginger character also forms a natural base for mule-style cocktails.
