Gibson's Italian Lemon is a 37.5% ABV lemon gin distilled in England under the Gibson's brand, owned by the French La Martiniquaise-Bardinet group. It brings classic Gibson's gin botanicals together with the sweetish freshness of Italian lemon and a light touch of basil.
What's in it?
The producer's published botanical list includes Italian lemon, juniper, angelica root, coriander seed, orris root, nutmeg, Chinese cinnamon and basil. Without disturbing the familiar gin skeleton formed by lemon, juniper and coriander, it adds a lively peel aroma to the recipe.
What does Gibson's Italian Lemon taste like?
The pale yellow gin has a medium-dry drink. Lemon notes lead; within a fruity, aromatic structure, juniper and coriander remain distinct. Basil adds a light green, herbal line to the citrus. Low in sugar, it carries a fresh rather than sweet character.
How should it be served?
A gin and tonic made with plenty of ice, tonic and a fine lemon peel is the most fitting serve; adding a basil leaf highlights the herbal note. It can also be used in lemon-based Collins or spritz-style light cocktails.
Which dishes does it pair with?
Its lemony, herbal character pairs well with grilled fish and seafood, olive-oil-dressed green salads and light dishes such as grilled chicken.

- Palate

- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
- Keep wine bottles on their side and spirits upright.
- Serve white/rosé and sparkling wine at 6–12°C, and reds at 16–18°C.
- Keep opened bottles closed; drink wine within a few days of opening.
