Sevilen Strawberry Wine is a fruit wine prepared with strawberries by the long-established Turkish producer Sevilen. It is one of the fruit wine options Sevilen offers alongside its grape wines; the same family also stocks black mulberry, pomegranate, blackberry and blueberry fruit wines.

Who is Sevilen?

Sevilen was founded in İzmir in 1942 by İsa Güner, who had trained in viticulture and winemaking in Bulgaria. Today run by the third generation of the Güner family, the company produces from vineyards in the Aegean around İzmir as well as from high-altitude vineyards on the Anatolian plateau.

What is fruit wine?

Fruit wine is the general name given to wines made by fermenting fruits other than grapes. Strawberry wine carries the fruit's aroma through to the glass. Please check the label for technical information such as this bottle's alcohol content and sweetness level.

How should it be served, and what food does it pair with?

Fruit wines are generally served chilled. It makes an enjoyable pairing with fruit desserts, chocolate desserts and nuts.

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
Keep wine bottles on their side and spirits upright.
Serve white/rosé and sparkling wine at 6–12°C, and reds at 16–18°C.
Keep opened bottles closed; drink wine within a few days of opening.
