Malfy Gin Originale is a 41% ABV Italian dry gin distilled at the family-run Torino Distillati, near Turin in Italy's Piedmont region. Malfy is distributed by Pernod Ricard; Originale is the classic, juniper-led base of the citrus-scented Malfy range.
How is Malfy Originale made?
The gin is made with alcohol from Italian wheat and wild Italian juniper, together with coriander and a small number of traditional botanicals. Piedmont spring water is used. The producer aims to combine the clean juniper structure of London Dry style with Mediterranean elegance.
What does Malfy Originale taste like?
The nose is bright, balancing juniper, zesty lemon and a light touch of ginger. On the palate juniper is present but not dominant; citrus, floral notes and lively spices such as coriander accompany it, with a round, slightly oily texture. On the finish, bitter lemon peel and dry juniper linger.
How is it served?
A gin and tonic made with a good-quality tonic and a twist of lemon peel is the most natural serve. It also works well in Italian-leaning classics such as the Negroni and Martini.
What food does it pair with?
The juniper and citrus notes complement Mediterranean cuisine: starters such as olives and bruschetta, grilled fish and seafood, and light pasta dishes with lemon are good matches.

- Keep wine bottles on their side and spirits upright.
- Serve white/rosé and sparkling wine at 6–12°C, and reds at 16–18°C.
- Keep opened bottles closed; drink wine within a few days of opening.
