Barrister Dry Gin B47 Edition

Barrister B47 Bartender's Edition is a 47% ABV dry gin made by the Ladoga Group in St Petersburg, Russia. Developed at the bartending community's request, this edition comes in a specially designed 1-litre bottle; unlike Barrister's usual square bottle, its shape is designed for both everyday bar use and bottle-flair performances.

The gin is produced using the classic London Dry method, with highly refined grain alcohol and carefully selected botanical aromatics. According to the producer, while most gins sit in the 37.5–40% range, the 47% strength allows the drink to reach a balanced proof once mixed in classic gin cocktails.

What does Barrister B47 taste like?

Colourless and clear, the gin's nose is led by juniper, citrus, fresh herbs and spices. On the palate the structure is bright and intense; juniper dominates, accompanied by lemon peel and spices. The producer describes the taste as smooth, juniper-forward and balanced with classic gin spices.

How should it be served?

The producer recommends serving this gin neat, over ice, with tonic, or in cocktails garnished with mint, lemon, rosemary or blueberry. It is designed as a base for a wide range of cocktails, from gin and tonic to classics such as Negroni and Gimlet.

What does Barrister B47 pair well with?

Its juniper- and citrus-forward profile suits the light dishes often paired with gin. It pairs well with grilled fish and seafood, and lemon-dressed herb salads, as a long drink with tonic.
