Portofino Dry Gin is a 43% ABV Italian dry gin inspired by the plant life of Liguria on the Italian Riviera. Launched in 2019, the gin's bottle design echoes the colourful houses of the fishing village of Portofino, from which it takes its name.
How is Portofino Dry Gin made?
The recipe includes 21 hand-selected botanicals, among them juniper, orris root, angelica root, lemon, tangerine, grapefruit, lavender, rose, rosemary, marjoram, sage, bay leaf, sweet fennel, chamomile, caraway and cardamom. Each botanical is macerated separately in wheat alcohol for seven days, then distilled in a copper still or rotary evaporator and blended.
What does Portofino Dry Gin taste like?
The nose is light and fragrant, with juniper, lemon and rose to the fore, accompanied by cardamom and herbs. On the palate it is light and smooth, with juniper, citrus, herbal notes, flowers and fennel. The finish is lightly warming and dry, leaving bay leaf, rosemary, anise and soft spice.
How is it served?
A gin and tonic finished with a twist of lemon peel is a good starting point; a few drops of water or tonic round out the texture.
What food does it pair with?
Its profile, full of Mediterranean herbs, pairs well with grilled fish, seafood and herb-dressed pasta or salads.

- Keep wine bottles on their side and spirits upright.
- Serve white/rosé and sparkling wine at 6–12°C, and reds at 16–18°C.
- Keep opened bottles closed; drink wine within a few days of opening.
