Crafter's London Dry Gin

Crafter's London Dry Gin is a 43% ABV London Dry gin made at the Liviko distillery in Tallinn, the capital of Estonia. With roots going back to 1898, Liviko is one of the largest spirits companies in the Baltic states; the Crafter's range is the company's flagship gin brand.

What sets Crafter's London Dry Gin apart?

The gin's character is defined by speedwell (veronica) gathered from Estonia's nature. This botanical combines with juniper and fennel seed to create a lively, floral bouquet; coriander, lemon and orange also accompany the recipe. According to the producer, head distiller Hanna Kaur tried 22 different recipes, and the version that made it into the bottle was the 23rd. The gin won a double gold medal at the 2022 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

What does Crafter's London Dry Gin taste like?

On the nose, fresh juniper shoots, lime and grapefruit peel stand out, followed by the light aniseed-like depth of cumin and fennel. On the palate, citrus and juniper are balanced by fennel's herbal touch and speedwell's soft floral quality.

How should it be served?

The producer particularly recommends this gin for cocktails: a gin and tonic made with plenty of ice, a Dry Martini, Negroni or sour-style cocktails carry its citrus and herbal aromas distinctly. A slice of grapefruit or lime peel is a good complement when made with tonic.

Which dishes does it pair with?

Its citrus and herbal character suits grilled fish, seafood and fresh-herb green salads. It is also a refreshing companion alongside light starters.
