Crafter's Aromatic Flower

Crafter's Aromatic Flower is a 44.3% ABV floral gin distilled in Tallinn by Estonia's long-established drinks producer Liviko. Its recipe includes 12 botanicals, led by wild rose (dog rose) flower and meadowsweet native to Estonia's coastline. The copper-coloured gin turns pale pink when mixed with tonic; this colour change comes from the natural pigments of the wild rose flower. Liviko states that each botanical is distilled separately and then blended.

What does Crafter's Aromatic Flower taste like?

Its aroma is intense and floral. Wild rose, meadowsweet, lavender, rose, chamomile and elderflower give the gin a round, lightly sweet character. Juniper, fennel, orange, lemon, coriander and yuzu, meanwhile, balance this floral bouquet with a fresh, lively, lightly spiced line. On the palate, citrus and juniper notes are distinctly felt among the flowers.

How should it be served?

The best way to see the colour change is a classic gin and tonic: add about 4 cl of gin and 20 cl of tonic to a glass full of ice, garnished with an orange slice. It also forms a floral base in cocktails such as Negroni or Collins.
