Barrister Wild Berry Fruits is a 40% ABV forest-berry-flavoured gin made by the Ladoga company in St Petersburg, Russia. According to the producer, the Barrister range draws on a classic English recipe and is prepared by blending aromatic distillates obtained separately from each botanical in set proportions.
What does Barrister Wild Berry Fruits taste like?
Forest berries such as blueberry and raspberry stand out on the nose; these fruit notes are complemented by classic gin botanicals such as juniper, lemon peel, coriander, cumin and cardamom. On the palate, a lively, lightly sweet and distinctly fruity taste is felt, accompanied by a pleasant spiciness and citrus freshness. The finish is long.
How should it be served?
The most common serve is mixing it with tonic in a glass full of ice. A few blueberries, a slice of lemon, fresh mint or a sprig of rosemary as garnish bring out the fruity character. Its fruity profile also offers a suitable base for summer cocktails and punch recipes.
What does Barrister Wild Berry Fruits pair well with?
Its sweetish, fruity character finds a natural match in fruit desserts: forest-berry tarts and cheesecake are good matches. As a light long drink made with tonic, it is also refreshing alongside fresh green salads and light dishes with white cheese.
