Absolut Tabasco is a 38% ABV chilli pepper-flavoured vodka developed through a collaboration between Absolut and Tabasco sauce maker McIlhenny Company. Launching in 2026, this vodka is produced and bottled at Absolut's facility in the village of Åhus, Sweden. According to the producer, Absolut vodka is combined with Tabasco sauce's characteristic chilli, pepper and vinegar notes.
What does Absolut Tabasco taste like?
A bold, spiced character led by aged red chilli is felt on the nose, with faint tomato-like notes sensed in the background. On the palate a salty-tart pepper taste stands out; distilled vinegar and salt provide balance while light smoky, sweetish tones add depth. On the finish, red pepper's heat combines with the vodka's smoothness to leave a lasting warmth.
How should it be served?
The producer's featured serve is a spicy Bloody Mary made with tomato juice, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, salt and black pepper. A spicy Vodkarita made with lemon juice, agave syrup and Cajun seasoning is also among the suggestions. As its heat is pronounced, small measures and a chilled serve are appropriate.
What does Absolut Tabasco pair well with?
Its spiced character forms a natural match with spicy dishes and tomato-based plates. Served as a Bloody Mary, it pairs well with late brunch tables, cold meze and spicy snacks.
