Martini Bianco is a 15% ABV white Italian vermouth produced by Martini & Rossi, founded in 1863 in Pessione, near Turin. First launched in 1910, Bianco is made by flavouring selected white wines, including Trebbiano, with a proprietary blend of herbs and spices. Martini & Rossi is today part of the Bacardi group.

What does Martini Bianco taste like?

It is pale gold in the glass. Vanilla, citrus and Mediterranean herbs lead on the nose. The palate is light, fresh and soft; a fine sweetness is balanced by spiced notes and freshness. The finish is round and harmonious.

How is it served?

It can be drunk neat over ice. For the producer's recommended Bianco Spritz, Martini Bianco is lengthened with sparkling wine or soda and garnished with lemon, strawberry and fresh mint. Long drinks made with tonic or ginger ale are also common uses.

What food does it pair with?

The producer states that salty, aromatic flavours complement Bianco's sweetness, suggesting grilled artichoke as a good pairing. Olives, antipasti, light cheeses and Mediterranean-style snacks also suit it as an aperitif.
