Casal Mendes Rosé is a 10.5% ABV light, fruity rosé wine from the Casal Mendes series of Portuguese producer Aliança. With its low alcohol and fresh character, it is a Portuguese rosé designed for everyday and summer tables, presented in a screw-capped bottle.

What does Casal Mendes Rosé taste like?

It is pale pink in colour. The nose is intense and fruity, with pineapple and banana nuances standing out, along with cherry aromas. The palate offers good acidity that gives the wine freshness and balance; the finish is soft and gentle. Its light body makes it easy to drink.

How is it made?

According to Portugal Vineyards' product information, it is made from Baga grapes. The must undergoes cold fermentation lasting around seven days in stainless steel tanks to preserve fruit aromas. This method forms the basis of the wine's fresh, fruity character.

How should it be served, and what food does it pair with?

According to the retailer's recommendation, the ideal drinking temperature is 6–7°C; it should be served well chilled. It pairs well with fish and seafood, or on its own as an aperitif. Lightly sauced pasta and rice dishes can also accompany this refreshing rosé.
