Carlsberg is a 5% ABV Danish-origin pilsner beer produced by Türk Tuborg at its İzmir plant under Carlsberg licence. The brand originates from the Carlsberg brewery founded in Copenhagen by J. C. Jacobsen in 1847. Türk Tuborg produces Carlsberg in Turkey as part of its long-standing partnership with Carlsberg Group, and has received various awards in the group's assessments of its licensed producers.
What kind of beer is Carlsberg?
Carlsberg is positioned as a pale golden, balanced, refreshing pilsner. In this bottom-fermented style, the balance between malt and hops takes centre stage; the drink is clean and crisp. Türk Tuborg has brewed beer at its İzmir plant since 1969.
How should it be served?
Pilsner-style beers are served well chilled in a clean, dry glass. A tall, narrow glass holds the foam and carbonation better; drinking from the bottle or can is also common.
What does Carlsberg pair well with?
Its balanced character fits easily into everyday meals. Pizza and pasta, grilled chicken, and nuts and snacks are classic pairings. It also goes well with light seafood and fried foods.

- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
- Keep wine bottles on their side and spirits upright.
- Serve white/rosé and sparkling wine at 6–12°C, and reds at 16–18°C.
- Keep opened bottles closed; drink wine within a few days of opening.
