Efes Özel Seri is a 4.5% ABV, cold-filtered, pale lager beer produced in Turkey by Anadolu Efes. It is a member of the Efes Pilsen family and is also referred to in some sources as Efes Pilsen Özel Seri. Anadolu Efes began brewing in 1969 and is today Turkey's leading beer producer.
How is Efes Özel Seri made?
It is brewed with water, barley malt, rice and yeast; no sugar is used in production. After fermentation it is rested in cold tanks and clarified using cold filtration. The rice in the recipe helps achieve a lighter, cleaner body alongside the malt.
What does Efes Özel Seri taste like?
It shows a pale golden colour in the glass with an abundant, dense, long-lasting head. The brand describes it as an exceptionally smooth-drinking beer. Its slightly lower alcohol content than standard Efes Pilsen makes it a lighter drink.
How is it served?
It is recommended served chilled to around 4–6 °C. Pouring it tilted into the glass and leaving a two-finger head on top brings out both its appearance and aroma.
What food does it pair with?
Its light, smooth character pairs easily with barbecued meats such as köfte and chicken, pizza, and salty snacks such as nuts.

- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
- Keep wine bottles on their side and spirits upright.
- Serve white/rosé and sparkling wine at 6–12°C, and reds at 16–18°C.
- Keep opened bottles closed; drink wine within a few days of opening.
