Bacardi Mojito

Bacardi Mojito is a 12.5% ABV, bottled, ready-to-drink version of the classic Cuban cocktail Mojito, combining Bacardi rum with lime juice and sugar cane. It is part of the ready-to-drink cocktail range from Bacardi, the world's largest family-owned spirits producer; the bottle sold in Europe is, according to retail information, produced in Italy.

What is in it?

According to the retailer's product-page ingredient list, the main components are water, Bacardi rum, sugar cane and lime juice. In Spain it is classified as a "spirit drink derived from natural alcohols". Bacardi describes its ready-to-drink Mojito by the brand's white rum, lime and mint flavours; the aim is to offer the classic taste without muddling or mixing.

What does Bacardi Mojito taste like?

The cocktail, pale, translucent lime-green in colour, has a nose of freshly crushed mint and the lively citrus notes of lime. According to the brand's description, lime and refreshing mint also come to the fore on the palate; sugar cane softens lime's acidity, giving a refreshing, balanced drink.

How is it served, and what does it pair with?

The recommended serve is to pour it into a tall glass full of ice and add a few fresh mint leaves and a slice of lime. Its refreshing character pairs well with cold meze, grilled fish and seafood, and summer salads.
