Bacardi Carta Blanca is the classic white rum at 37.5% ABV from the Bacardi brand, founded by Don Facundo Bacardí Massó in Santiago de Cuba in 1862. Based on the founder's original recipe and the brand's distinctive yeast, Carta Blanca is used as the base rum in many of the world's best-known cocktails. It is charcoal-filtered for purity and rested for at least a year in American white oak casks.

What does Bacardi Carta Blanca taste like?

It has a slightly dry structure on the palate, with sweet vanilla notes and a fine apricot fruitiness. The finish is smooth, lightly sweet and balanced. Its light body makes it a versatile base that doesn't overpower other ingredients in mixed drinks.

How is it served?

Carta Blanca is used most often in cocktails: the Mojito, Daiquiri, Cuba Libre and Piña Colada are among the classics made with this rum. It can also be served as a simple long drink with cola, soda or tonic over ice; adding a slice of lime enhances its freshness.

Which foods does it pair with?
