Volim Çilek

Volim Strawberry is an aromatised drink made with strawberry flavour, sold in a small bottle within the wine-based drinks category. This variety, which focuses solely on strawberry aroma in the range, is made for cold drinking.

What kind of drink is Volim?

Aromatised wine-based drinks are obtained by enriching wine with fruit or herbal aromas. In these products the wine's own taste recedes into the background; what defines it is the added aroma. The result is an easy-drinking, fruity drink that resembles a ready-made cocktail more than a classic wine. It is a product type commonly found at off-licences and drinks shops.

Which brand makes it?

Volim is listed together with the Kırbıyık name in price lists. The same brand also offers ready-made cocktail varieties such as Cosmopolitan, Margarita and Mojito. Alongside strawberry, the Volim range includes flavours such as watermelon-strawberry, forest fruit and peach-orange.

How is it served?

After being well chilled in the fridge, it is drunk from the bottle or in a glass of ice. A few slices of fresh strawberry added to the glass enliven both the look and the aroma.

What food does it pair with?

Strawberry cakes, fruit tarts and vanilla ice cream offer a match suited to the strawberry aroma. It also makes easy company with nuts and light snacks.
