Beefeater Pink Strawberry & Tonic is a carbonated, 4.9% ABV ready-to-drink cocktail combining strawberry-flavoured Beefeater Pink Strawberry gin with tonic. It is offered under Pernod Ricard's Beefeater brand and is a fruitier take on the classic gin and tonic.
What is in it?
The underlying Beefeater Pink Strawberry, according to the producer, is made by adding natural strawberry flavour to the original Beefeater London Dry recipe; juniper and citrus notes are balanced by strawberry's sweetness. The canned drink contains water, sugar, grain alcohol and botanical distillate, natural flavours, quinine flavour, acidity regulators and colouring.
What does Beefeater Pink Strawberry & Tonic taste like?
The nose carries a pronounced strawberry note with a light gin tone behind it. On the palate, strawberry's sweetness combines with the tonic's bitterness and the gin's character to give a refreshing, fruity drink. The finish stays light and fresh, with strawberry and the tonic's light bitterness felt together.
How is it served, and what does it pair with?
It can be served well chilled from the can or over ice in a glass with a few slices of strawberry or citrus. Its fruity structure suits summer salads, light meze and fruit-based desserts.
