Bacardi Limón

Bacardi Limón is a rum-based flavoured spirit drink at 27% ABV, made by combining Bacardi's white rum with lemon, lime and grapefruit flavours. It takes its name from the Spanish word for lemon.

As its alcohol content is below 37.5%, it is sold in Europe not as a rum but as a rum-based flavoured spirit drink; the same product is offered at a higher strength in some markets.

What does Bacardi Limón taste like?

The brand attributes its refreshing character to a combination of three citrus fruits: lemon leads, while lime and grapefruit add liveliness and a light bitterness. Fresh lemon zest is prominent on the nose; on the palate, intense citrus is balanced by a soft sweetness.

How is it served?

The simplest serve recommended by the producer is mixing it with lemonade in a tall glass full of ice. Refreshing long drinks can also be made with soda, cranberry juice or pineapple juice. It can also be enjoyed well chilled.

Which foods does it pair with?

Its citrus-forward character makes a natural match with grilled fish and seafood; lemon-based sauces work well as a bridge here. On the sweet side, it's a refreshing accompaniment to lemon- or fruit-based desserts, such as lemon tart or sorbet.
