Writers' Tears Copper Pot is a 40% ABV Irish whiskey from Walsh Whiskey (Amber Beverage Group), combining single pot still and single malt whiskeys. It is the flagship expression of the Writers' Tears range, whose name and label theme draw on Ireland's literary tradition.
How is it made?
The blend consists of mature single pot still and single malt whiskeys made from differently processed barley; it contains no grain whiskey. The whiskeys are triple-distilled, unpeated, and matured in fire-charred American oak ex-bourbon casks. The components come from an undisclosed distillery in Cork; the range has won numerous international awards.
What does Writers' Tears Copper Pot taste like?
It is an amber colour with golden highlights. The nose shows apple, vanilla, cinnamon, caramel and malt. The palate offers spice, ginger, red forest fruits, pastry and fig. The finish is long and elegant, closing with dark chocolate and coffee notes.
How should it be served, and what food does it pair with?
Its layers open up best when drunk neat or with a few drops of water; it can also be served on ice. Its spicy, fruity character pairs well with mature cheeses, chocolate desserts and grilled meats.

- Keep wine bottles on their side and spirits upright.
- Serve white/rosé and sparkling wine at 6–12°C, and reds at 16–18°C.
- Keep opened bottles closed; drink wine within a few days of opening.

An age check (18+) is carried out on delivery. Our Famagusta branch is open every day 09:00–00:00, and our Bafra branch 09:00–02:00 (until 00:00 on Mondays).
