Sierra Blanco Edition

Sierra Blanco Edition is a limited-edition bottle design of Destilerías Sierra Unidas' classic Sierra Silver (now renamed Sierra Blanco) tequila, produced in Guadalajara. This tequila blanco, made in Mexico's Jalisco state, is recognised by the brand's signature red sombrero cap. Tequilas in the blanco class are bottled without oak ageing, so agave's own flavour reaches the glass without cask influence.

What does Sierra Blanco taste like?

This clear-coloured tequila has a fresh, fruity aroma; light spiced notes stand out. Pepper nuances are accompanied by hints of green apple and young pineapple, producing a lively, dynamic profile. As it's not rested in cask, agave's fresh character is felt directly.

How is it made?

Sierra is produced by the fourth-generation González family from agave grown at roughly 1,600 metres in the foothills of the Sierra Madre mountains. Mature agaves are slowly roasted, fermented with the family's own yeast strain and distilled twice in traditional pot stills.

How is it served, and which foods does it pair with?

Its best-known serve is a shot with salt and lemon; it's also often used in cocktails such as the Margarita and Tequila Sunrise. It pairs well with light, spiced flavours such as tacos, guacamole and grilled fish.
