Dos Mexicanos Silver

Dos Mexicanos Silver is an unaged tequila blanco at 38% ABV, produced by the Mexican company Agave Azul San José. This silver-class tequila is bottled straight after distillation without resting in cask, giving it water-clear colour.

What does tequila blanco mean?

Tequilas known as blanco, silver or plata are young tequilas bottled without oak ageing, or with at most a very brief rest. Tequila can legally only be produced within Mexico's designated region using blue Weber agave. With no cask influence, it offers a purer, more vibrant structure compared with reposado and añejo styles.

How is it served?

It can be drunk as a shot the traditional way, with salt and a slice of lemon. It can be used as the main spirit in classic cocktails such as the Margarita, Paloma or Tequila Sunrise; it's perceived as smoother when served well chilled or with ice.

Which foods does it pair with?

Seafood flavoured with lemon, fresh salads and spicy, well-seasoned dishes form a balanced match with blanco tequila's refreshing character. When served as a cocktail, it can also accompany shared meze platters.
