Sierra Reposado Limited Edition is a limited-edition, specially designed bottle version of the classic Sierra Reposado tequila from Destilerías Sierra Unidas. Produced in Jalisco, this reposado tequila gains its golden colour and soft character by resting in oak casks. Reposado means 'rested' in Spanish; tequilas in this class are legally required to be rested in oak for at least two months.

What does Sierra Reposado taste like?

Delicate vanilla, caramel and herbal notes are detectable over a fresh, fruity base. On the palate it's soft and rounded; the sweetness gained from the cask is balanced by agave. The brand's Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead)-themed limited bottles are well-known examples of this kind of special edition.

How is it made?

At the distillery run by the fourth generation of the González family, agaves grown at roughly 1,600 metres in the foothills of the Sierra Madre are slowly roasted, fermented with the family's own yeast strain and distilled twice in traditional pot stills.

How is it served, and which foods does it pair with?

It can be drunk as a shot with cinnamon and an orange slice, over ice, or in cocktails such as the Margarita and Paloma. It pairs well with tacos, quesadillas, grilled meats and spiced dishes; its collectible bottle also makes it a popular gift.
