Don Julio Blanco is a blanco tequila from Diageo's Don Julio brand, made from 100% blue Weber agave and bottled without ageing. It is the base product from which all of the brand's other tequilas begin; this bottle is 40% ABV.
How is Don Julio Blanco made?
The tequila is made using only water, the brand's own yeast strain and agave, then distilled twice in pot stills. As it's unaged, the pure character of the agave is preserved. Also known as silver tequila, this style carries the agave flavour distinctly through, especially in cocktails.
What does it taste like?
On the nose, vibrant agave aromas blend with citrus notes such as lemon, lime and grapefruit. On the palate, a light, sweet agave taste is present; the finish ends cleanly with the same light, sweet agave character.
How is it served?
It can be drunk neat or over ice. Its vibrant citrus notes make it very well suited to classic tequila cocktails such as the Margarita and Paloma; a simple long drink can also be made with soda and fresh lime.
Which foods does it pair with?
Its refreshing, citrusy structure pairs very well with grilled fish, ceviche and seafood. Spicy tacos and dishes, along with salads with lemon, are also fitting accompaniments.

- Keep wine bottles on their side and spirits upright.
