Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban 14 Yıl

Glenmorangie The Quinta Ruban 14 Year Old is a 46% ABV, 14-year-old single malt Scotch whisky produced by the Glenmorangie Distillery in the Highlands. It first matures in bourbon casks, then is enriched in port wine casks from Portugal.

What does the port cask add to the whisky?

Quinta Ruban matures the soft, fruity spirit from Glenmorangie's tall stills first in bourbon casks, then in port casks brought from Portugal. According to the producer, the whisky starts soft and fruity, taking on a darker, deeper character as it matures. Port casks give the whisky a dark colour, a chocolatey depth and red-fruit tones; the 14-year maturation combines this character with a soft, silky texture.

What does Quinta Ruban 14 Year Old taste like?

The nose shows Seville orange and walnut, deepening with dark chocolate, sandalwood and spicy black pepper. The palate opens with minty chocolate, walnut and orange, then transforms into Turkish delight and summer flowers. According to the producer, walnut with black pepper, tangerine with melted marshmallow, and dark chocolate with mint are the standout pairings for this whisky.

How should it be served, and what does it pair with?

It is recommended neat or with a few drops of water. It makes a natural match with chocolate desserts, mature cheeses and nuts such as walnut.
