Glenmorangie The Original 10 Year Old is a 40% ABV, 10-year-old single malt Scotch whisky produced by the Glenmorangie Distillery in the Highlands. For many years the brand's signature whisky, this bottle represents the classic Glenmorangie style, matured solely in bourbon casks.

What makes The Original different?

Glenmorangie uses Scotland's tallest stills, allowing only the lightest and purest vapours to condense. Ten years in bourbon casks add vanilla and honey tones to this elegant spirit. With its medium body, gentle warmth and spicy touches, it is a whisky often recommended as an introduction to Highland malts. The producer later updated this whisky to a 12-year-old expression.

What does Glenmorangie 10 Year Old taste like?

The nose is soft, clean and fresh: lemon sherbet and apricot, honeyed fruit, light caramel and vanilla. The palate offers a slightly fuller structure with honey and malt, banana cake and sweet spice. The honeyed fruit fades slowly and the finish closes very cleanly.

How should it be served, and what does it pair with?

It can be enjoyed neat, with a few drops of water, or on ice; its light character also suits a highball. It offers a refreshing match with fish and seafood, sushi and fresh cheeses.
