Glen Silver's

Glen Silver's is a 40% ABV blended Scotch whisky produced in Scotland and exported worldwide by the Spanish company Beveland Distillers. The brand takes its name from master distiller Arthur Silver, whom the company's founder Ramón Masoliver Jordà met in the Cairngorms region of the Scottish Highlands.

How is it made?

The producer states that the wash obtained from peat-dried malted barley is fermented and double-distilled, and that the whiskies are matured in traditional American white oak casks. Malt whiskies of different ages are blended with grain whiskies and rested again, as required by Scotch whisky regulations. The brand's range also includes older blended and malt versions alongside this standard blend.

What does Glen Silver's taste like?

It has an old-gold colour, coppery and bright. On the nose, the pronounced aroma of aged grain whisky is joined by a touch of peat-smoked malted barley; the notes are delicate and fresh. The palate is silky and medium-weight; smoke from the oak and toasted malt is felt. The finish is soft and light, leaving traces of light smoke and dry peat.

How should it be served, and what does it pair with?

The producer recommends it neat, on the rocks, or with a mixer. Its lightly smoky character pairs well with barbecued and grilled meats, as well as with nuts.
