Filipetti Asti DOCG Dolce is a 7% ABV sweet sparkling wine made from Moscato Bianco di Canelli grapes in Italy's Piemonte region. It is a product of the Filipetti brand, founded in 1922 by oenologist Giovanni Giuseppe Filipetti and today part of Asti-based Perlino. Asti is an appellation holding DOCG status, Italy's highest wine quality classification.

How is it made?

Asti uses the Charmat method, also known as Martinotti: the must undergoes a single alcoholic fermentation in pressurised stainless steel tanks. Fermentation is stopped at 7% alcohol, leaving around 90 grams of natural sugar per litre in the wine. This method preserves the grape's fresh, fruity character.

What does Filipetti Asti Dolce taste like?

It has a straw-yellow colour and fine, persistent bubbles. The nose offers fresh, intense aromatic notes. The palate is harmonious and sweet; its full, velvety structure finishes pleasantly.

How should it be served, and what does it pair with?

The producer recommends serving at 6–8°C. It is an ideal match for desserts; it can be enjoyed after a meal alongside fruit tarts, light sweet pastries and fruity desserts.
