Bottega Rose Gold is an 11.5% ABV brut rosé sparkling wine made by the Italian company Bottega from Pinot Nero (Pinot Noir) grapes. It is produced in the Lombardy region of northern Italy; with its pink-gold-toned bottle, it is the rosé member of the brand's Gold series. According to technical data it contains 10–12 grams of sugar per litre; it has won awards such as silver at Mundus Vini and bronze at the IWSC.
What does Bottega Rose Gold taste like?
It has a bright, lightly pink colour and fine, persistent bubbles. The nose offers an intense, elegant and layered bouquet: alongside floral notes, mixed forest fruit, redcurrant and wild strawberry stand out. The palate is fresh, delicate and soft; its structured body is joined by balanced acidity, leaving a pleasant, lingering taste.
How should it be served?
The producer recommends serving at 4–5°C. It is very suitable as an aperitif, can be drunk throughout a meal, and can also be served enjoyably afterwards.
What food does it pair with?
It pairs especially well with vegetable-forward dishes and fish; sushi, shellfish and raw-vegetable platters are among the recommended pairings. It also suits white meats and cheeses.
