Dimarco Crema Meloncello is a 17% ABV creamy liqueur from the Spanish company Licores y Derivados in the Murcia region, made by combining dairy cream with a delicate melon liqueur. The name Meloncello derives from "melone", the Italian word for melon; like creamy limoncello varieties, the liqueur is drunk very cold.

About the producer

Licores y Derivados is a family company founded in 1986 to produce liqueurs on a local scale, and today offers a wide range from cream liqueurs to tequila creams. The firm describes this liqueur, with its balanced sugar content and 17% alcohol, as a silky, aromatic and well-integrated cream.

What does Meloncello taste like?

According to the producer's tasting notes, the liqueur has a soft green tone and an intense, bright creamy appearance. On the nose, ripe melon and dairy cream stand out. On the palate, a sweet entry is followed by a creamy body; the finish is long and fruity.

How is it served?

It is drunk very cold, neat or with ice. It can be drizzled over desserts, used in sweet cocktails, or in drinks such as coffee and milkshakes. As it contains dairy, it should be kept cool once opened.

What desserts does it pair with?

Melon's cool fruitiness makes a natural match with fruity desserts, ice cream and summer desserts. Light, creamy cakes are also a good accompaniment alongside a chilled glass.
