XUXU Strawberry & Vodka

XUXU Strawberry & Vodka is a 15% ABV strawberry liqueur made by Georg Hemmeter GmbH in Erding, Germany, from fresh strawberry purée and vodka. It is the brand's original product: strawberries are carefully puréed, blended with vodka and freshened with a little lemon juice. The fruit content is high; the taste and small seeds of the strawberry are preserved during processing, and the colour is a bright red.

What does XUXU Strawberry & Vodka taste like?

The nose carries the intense, sweet aroma of freshly crushed strawberry. The palate shows a full, fruity and lightly creamy texture; the strawberry taste is pronounced, while the vodka remains a subtle touch in the background. The finish is soft, sweet and fruity.

How is it served?

The producer recommends drinking XUXU ice-cold as a shot; it can also be served neat over ice. Mixed with sparkling wine or prosecco, it makes a refreshing strawberry cocktail. It is also widely used in milkshakes and cocktail recipes. As it contains fruit purée, it is best to shake the bottle lightly before serving.

What food does it pair with?

It can be drizzled as a sauce over vanilla ice cream or yoghurt-based desserts; it pairs naturally with fruit cakes and strawberry desserts. Alongside chocolate desserts, it also offers the well-known pairing of strawberry and chocolate.
