Dimarco Crema di Limoncello is a 17% ABV cream liqueur from the Spanish company Licores y Derivados in the Murcia region, made by combining dairy cream with limoncello liqueur. It brings together the citrus freshness of classic limoncello with the soft texture of cream liqueurs, and is bottled ready to drink.
Who is the producer?
Licores y Derivados S.A. is a family company founded in 1986 by Joaquín Hernández Belmonte and now run by the second generation. Starting as a local liqueur producer, the firm has grown over time into a producer selling across Spain and abroad. Dimarco is the brand under which the company gathers Italian-inspired liqueurs such as limoncello and meloncello.
What does it taste like?
According to the producer's tasting notes, the cream-coloured liqueur has light yellow tones and an intense, bright appearance. On the nose, fresh, sweet lemon notes are accompanied by hints of dairy cream. On the palate it has a silky, balanced structure: a sweet entry is followed by citrus freshness, and the finish is long and creamy.
How is it served?
Cream liqueurs are best drunk well chilled, neat, in small glasses or over ice. It can be chosen as an after-dinner liqueur, or added to coffee or ice cream.
What desserts does it pair with?
Light, fruity desserts such as lemon cheesecake, lemon tart, fruit salad and vanilla ice cream complement the liqueur's citrus-cream balance.
