Dimarco Crema Meloncello Verde is a 17% ABV cream liqueur from the Spanish liqueur producer Licores y Derivados, made by blending green melon liqueur with dairy cream. It belongs to the Dimarco brand's range of melon creams, and its intense green colour distinguishes it from Crema Meloncello, the lighter green liqueur in the same range.
Who is the producer?
Licores y Derivados S.A. is a family company founded in Murcia in 1986 by Joaquín Hernández Belmonte. Starting on a local scale, the firm grew across Spain and into international markets by focusing on affordable, well-presented local liqueurs. Dimarco is the brand under which the company gathers its Italian-inspired limoncello and meloncello liqueurs.
What does it taste like?
According to the producer's tasting notes, the liqueur has an intense, bright, uniform green colour. Its nose is sweet and fruity; pronounced green melon notes are accompanied by hints of dairy cream. On the palate it is silky and balanced: a sweet entry is followed by a creamy body, and the finish is long, leaving a fresh, fruity trace.
How is it served?
It is served well chilled, neat, in small glasses or over ice. Its creamy texture means it can be drizzled over ice cream or used in creamy cocktails.
What desserts does it pair with?
Melon's aroma pairs well with fruity desserts: fresh fruit platters, fruit tarts, sorbet and vanilla ice cream can be served alongside it, cold.
